State-of-the-Art Equipment

Air Med’s fleet, which consists of EC-135 helicopters, Beechcraft King Air turboprop aircraft and one Bombardier Learjet 45, is equipped with advanced lifesaving equipment and manned by highly trained flight paramedics and RNs.

Our rotor-wing and fixed-wing aircraft are fully equipped with state-of the-art medical equipment, allowing our highly skilled and experienced crews to provide critical care when time is of the essence.

Live-Saving Supplies & Equipment

Each of our aircraft contain all the necessary supplies and equipment needed to treat patients in emergency situations.

*We can accommodate ECMO, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, ventricular assist devices, nitric oxide ventilation and balloon pumps as part of the specialty transport team equipment.

  • Full complement of advanced life support drugs
  • Monitors and external pacemakers
  • IVAC medsystem III infusion pump with built-in drug calculator system
  • Physio Control Lifepak 12 with 12-lead EKG capability
  • Airway management equipment, including video and surgical airway devices
  • Helium/oxygen (Heliox) delivery*
  • Blood products
  • Impact EMV + series transport ventilator, capable of providing assist control (AC), SIMV, BiPAP, CPAP, pressure support and PEEP (can handle pediatric patients down to 5 KGs or 50 CC tidal volume)
  • Standard complement of ACLS/PALS medications, as well as RSI capabilities
  • Balloon pump and impeller pump transfers*
  • Extra-corporeal membrane oxygenators (ECMO)*
