Acadian Air Med recently joined the Louisiana chapter of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS), an international association which serves providers of air and surface medical transport systems.
We support the mission and vision of LAAMS by promoting the highest level of industry safety and commitment to delivering excellence in clinical care while transporting critically ill or injured patients.
Established in 1980, AAMS is committed to representing and advocating for the air medical and the critical care ground transport industry and supporting their members who proudly serve their communities. The Louisiana chapter was established in 2018.
“Acadian Air Med is committed to continually improving the standards of operational and clinical practice through research, education and the application of new technologies, a core value of AAMS,” says Air Med Operations Supervisor Sherri Wells. Sherri has also been selected as the director of education for LAAMS.
With the support of Acadian Air Med, LAAMS will continue to improve the health outcomes of the populations in Louisiana.
